The essence of Lu Xun’s literary heritage is "poetic spirit" . Spirit is a kind of sublimation to the realm of religion. The spiritual works always contain the paradox of hope and despair. It is the inverse isomorphism of secular logic: taking dark as light
perseverance as escape
suffering as happiness and despair as hope. Literature takes the inverse side—the darker spirits to the Heaven. This is the way to the hope of literature as well as the way to rescue Chinese literature. However
on this way
we have few traditional resources. And exactly at this point
Lu Xun reaches the state nearly to the religion and no one can compare with him. He is a solitary "poet" as "a solider in spiritual world" and "poetic solider in spiritual world" . Although the study of Lu Xun has been lasting for nearly 100 years
no one can really touch the essence of his "poetic spirit" and modern Chinese literature fails to carry on this essence.
