摘要:Upon the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC, to strengthen the CPC history faculty team building in Chinese higher education institutions is of great practical significance to serve the strategic needs of the CPC’s governance, promote the innovation and development in philosophy and social sciences with Chinese characteristics, and cultivate high-quality talents responsible for China’s rejuvenation. In the past 100 years, with the establishment of courses on CPC history and the development of the discipline of CPC history, team building for CPC history faculty in higher education institutions has gone through the beginning stage and later development and innovation, making remarkable achievements and accumulating valuable experience. At present, outstanding issues are serious shrinkage, unreasonable structure, low stability and insufficient support of the faculty team. These are closely related to discipline orientation, curriculum setting, teaching and research institution setting, and personnel shortage. Building the first-tier discipline of CPC History and CPC Construction, restoring the status of CPC history courses as public ideological courses, optimizing the system and mechanism of faculty team development, and improving the faculty training and recruitment system are approaches to strengthening CPC history faculty team building in Chinese higher education institutions in the future.

摘要:The imperial examination system gradually improved and stabilized through changes during the reign of Emperor Renzong in the Song Dynasty. It became the template of later dynasties after continuous revision. The most reasonable interval between two imperial examinations was explored during this period, which laid a solid foundation for the later finalized version of the system. The number of admitted scholars also became relatively stable with a slight increase as the general trend. The focus of imperial examinations shifted to essays on current affairs, and even poetry and fu examinations required more connection with ethics and current governance. At the same time, it advocated a clear and smooth style of writing. After the reform on imperial examinations in the Qingli Period, school education became popular all over the country and therefore gained great progress. Through the imperial examination system, generations of talents were selected during the reign of Emperor Renzong. In essence, it is closely related to the relatively regulated and fair system.

摘要:The construction of the Great Wall National Culture Park is a complicated systematic project. Only by deeply grasping its cultural connotation and epochal value can we accurately position, scientifically approach, protect, inherit and make good use of the cultural heritage of the Great Wall, and promote Chinese culture and strengthen cultural confidence. As a typical representation of the early Great Wall in China, the Qi Great Wall witnessed the ups and downs of the region and has rich cultural connotations. The Qi Great Wall embodies the great feats of ancient working people excavating mountains, digging earth and ramming walls, bears the spiritual values of diligence, courage, tenacity, self-reliance and unity of the Chinese people, and contains the cultural characteristics of tolerance and pluralism. As for its epochal value, the Qi Great Wall is an important carrier to demonstrate national image and strengthen cultural confidence, an important force to carry forward the national spirit and stimulate patriotism, an important way to facilitate rural revitalization and regional social development, and an important means to enhance people’s well-being and meet people’s need for a better life.

摘要:In Japan, scholars tend to study Shanghai literature from a global comparative perspective. They also prefer to use empirical study as the basis for research methodology. When Japanese scholars study Chinese literature, they have a kind of subjective consciousness which tends to regard Japan as the "intermediary" between modern China and the West. But this subjective consciousness may not form a definite position for cultural value. At the same time, the empirical study emphasizing "knowing the author and his world" , which Japanese scholars are good at, pursues a purely objective and factual "history" and a "past" without spiritual continuity. Taking Japanese sinology as mirror and inspiration, Chinese literature research should organically combine local values with global vision, and create an open, persistent, inclusive and heritable local academic discourse.

摘要:Shanghai is the intersection of Chinese and foreign cultures. Shanghai literature is also the product of the integration of Chinese and foreign literature. "Literary Shanghai" with the involvement of foreigners not only shaped Shanghai literature, but also shaped Shanghai’s city character. For Korean sinologists, Shanghai is not only a familiar Chinese city, but also a microcosm of modern China and even East Asian cities. Studying Shanghai literature not only sustains their desire to watch Shanghai and modern China through literature, but also is another way to reflect about themselves. Researches in Korean sinology are full of individuality and originality, which can bring inspiration to the localization of Chinese literature research.

摘要:To reposition Lu Xun, we must break the existing stereotyped cognitive framework, and reexamine him with a vision over ancient and modern China and the West, thus forming a multi-faceted, three-dimensional cognition of him. The reason why Lu Xun became Lu Xun lies in his questioning way of thinking and clear cognition of human limitation. This uniqueness is manifested in his writing, that is, his late writing practice of "leaving margin/ blank" , as seen in his essays and Old Tales Retold. Such fresh and open pioneer writing is unmatched by his Call to Arms.

摘要:In the early 1930s, Lao She made an effort to translate The Criticism of Literature by the American scholar Elizabeth Nitchie, but failed to complete the translation. Only four translated chapters were published in Cheeloo University Monthly and Cheeloo University Quarterly. Previous academic studies tended to regard the translation as a knowledge resource introduced by Lao She to assist his teaching in Cheeloo University. However, Lao She’s translation is not a simple practice of knowledge introduction. There is an obvious intertextual relationship between his translation and the context in which the translation took place. In the campus context of Cheeloo University, Lao She’s translation not only reveals his efforts to meet the internal knowledge production demands of the university, but also reflects his attitude and stance on the knowledge production system in a subtle way. If the scrutinization is extended from Cheeloo University to literary and artistic thoughts in the 1930s, Lao She’s translation practice can also be regarded as an indirect response to contemporary literary controversy.

摘要:As intangible cultural heritages, Gaomi’s paper-cut, ash new year picture, clay sculpture and Mao opera are artistic treasures generated and developed by traditional culture among the people. Their formation, maturity and long-term inheritance come from the rich historical and cultural soil of Qilu. These "Four Treasures" of Gaomi are extensively supported by the masses in their long history of development and have become an important part of the cultural industry, contributing to the prosperity of local economy and culture. Exploring their Qilu cultural origin and charming traditional core is not only beneficial to the robust development of the cultural industry, but also an effective way to carry forward the national spirit and enhance cultural confidence.

摘要:Humans have a long history of discovering and drinking alcohol. The history of alcohol starts even earlier than human civilization. During the formation of the modern world, some influential brands of alcohol gradually appeared. After the Age of Discovery, alcohol began spreading as an addictive consumer product globally with colonization and the development of cross-regional and intercontinental trade. Academia previously paid more attention to the influence of addictive consumer products such as tea, tobacco, coffee, opium, sugar, and cocoa on the modern world, but did not pay enough attention to alcohol. Alcohol is a moderately addictive consumer product, which not only has a certain health effect, but is also addictive. With the acceleration of economic globalization, various brands of alcohol have become important commodities in international trade. The widespread consumption of alcohol has a great influence on modern lifestyles, and it is also an important driving factor for modern economic globalization. Although some countries are aware of the dangers of alcohol and have enacted prohibitions, no country has ever succeeded in prohibiting alcohol since drinking has become a way of life and can bring huge financial profits to the country.

摘要:As a traditional cultural concept of the Chinese nation, "Valuing Homeland and Loathing Moving" was formed as early as the Western Zhou Dynasty, and finalized in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. It can be clearly reflected in people’s infatuation with their homeland, rejection of leaving hometown, and deep yearning for their homeland after moving out. The emergence of the concept of "Valuing Homeland and Loathing Moving" is closely related to the agricultural production mode in ancient China, the rulers’ demand for governance, the vigorous advocation by the Hundred Schools of Thought and frequent wars and chaos. Fully understanding the cultural connotation of the concept of "Valuing Homeland and Loathing Moving" is helpful to promote the socialist cultural construction of China today.

摘要:Fintech relies on emerging digital technologies, such as big data, to continuously innovate financial business models and processes, and has had a significant impact on the financial system. This paper explores the inclusive effect of fintech using panel data from 283 cities in China from 2011 to 2017. The study shows that fintech significantly improves the availability, usage and affordability of financial services with inclusive effect. It is further found that the inclusive effect of fintech is stronger in regions with a higher degree of financial regulation; however, when the degree of financial regulation is too high, the inclusive effect of fintech is weakened. Heterogeneity analysis shows that regions with high levels of marketization and economic development are more conducive to the inclusive effect of fintech. The findings of this paper have certain policy implications for the regulation of fintech, which is to implement flexible regulation, prevent and control the systemic risks brought by financial innovation, form a unified and comprehensive regulatory framework, and give some room to "pilot tolerance" to encourage diversified financial industries, facilitate the integration of finance and technology, and then bring the inclusive effect of fintech into full play.

摘要:China’s economy has changed from the high-speed growth stage to the high-quality development stage, and improving total factor productivity has become the driving force for promoting the quality of economic development. This article analyzes how "new infrastructure" investment impacts high-quality economic development with total factor productivity as the core with the provincial panel data of China from 2003 to 2019, and empirically examines the impact of the "new infrastructure" investment on the high-quality economic development and the relevant mechanism, using the stochastic frontier model of spatial panel. The results show that: "new infrastructure" investment can significantly promote high-quality economic development, but different types of investment have significantly different impacts on economic development; there are significant spatial differences in the impact of "new infrastructure" investment on high-quality economic development; to a certain extent, "new infrastructure" investment is characterized by spatial agglomeration, which has two opposite effects on high-quality economic development, namely, "incentive" and "extrusion" , which leads to the nonlinear path of its impacts; in addition to directly promoting high-quality economic development, "new infrastructure" investment can also indirectly affect high-quality economic development through industrial structure, technological progress and resource allocation but different types of infrastructure investment have different influence paths.

摘要:Based on the urban and rural multi-sited tracking ethnography of migrant workers’ source and destination, this article finds that the new generation of older single male migrant workers are gradually falling into the urbanization dilemma of being separated from the countryside and unable to integrate into the city and therefore sink between the urban and rural areas. The mechanism that causes this dilemma is the multi-institutional dis-embedding that unfolds with the development of life under the divided rural-urban structure and the squeeze of the marriage market. In the early period of their working life, the new generation of migrant workers have a tendency to stay away from the rural society; with the emergence and prolongation of difficulties in getting married and starting a family, older single male workers gradually break away from family and relatives; in the subsequent long-term single life, they gradually slip into the temporary labor market, forming a new dilemma group stuck between the urban and rural areas. This article also finds that the emergence of family fragility such as divorce of the new generation of migrant workers in recent years has caused part of them to dis-embed again and enter the urbanization dilemma similar to that of older single male workers. The article shows that the urbanization dilemma of the new generation of migrant workers has become an important social governance issue, and multi-institutional interventions, especially the stabilization of family structure, are needed to avoid the formation and growth of the new dilemma groups stuck between the urban and rural areas.

摘要:Yanzhi is an internet buzzword, referring to the evaluation of an individual’s physical appearance. Live streaming endows Yanzhi with readability and appreciation value. The comfort thus given to the senses and minds of audiences makes it possible for them to enter the spiritual world. Taking the Douyu live streaming platform as the carrier, this article studies its female anchors with high Yanzhi by using virtual ethnography. Furthermore, in-depth interviews have been conducted with part of them and their loyal and stable audiences to explain the phenomena of Yanzhi worship and Yanzhi consumption in the virtual field. Anchors with high Yanzhi use their youth, emotional labor, and the construction of the virtual consumption space to stimulate consumption behavior of the audience. Group loneliness, emotional emptiness, and a lack of desire induced by the modern society further stimulate the audiences’ consumption behavior. Live streaming platforms build the bridge, gather individuals from different circles and provide the live streaming carnivals that release the pressures of the individuals, meet the demand of their desires, and reconstruct their identity.

摘要:The process of housing marketization has promoted the transformation of housing with the dual attributes of housing and investment. Housing asset inequality has become an important aspect of social inequality in China’s megacities. This article uses survey data on the living conditions of residents in mega-cities to analyze the causes of inequality in housing assets from two aspects: cumulative advantages and financial effects. It finds that urban residents with intergenerational and intra-generational accumulation advantages can gain greater advantages in the housing market and the accumulation of housing wealth, while urban residents who have obtained financial credit and own local housing have more prominent advantages in housing assets. The article proposes that housing asset inequality is the transmission result of the inequality of personal abilities, family endowments, and financialization effects. At the same time, in the environment of "housing financialization" , housing assets have become a distribution mechanism for social wealth appreciation, which intensifies the trend of family wealth differentiation and social inequality in megacities.

摘要:The mobility of teachers not only characterizes the reorganization and reconstruction of educational resources brought about by changes in social structure, but also reflects the intention and trajectory of teachers as actors with the imbalance of urban and rural resources. Taking teachers’ mobility as an entry point, this article focuses on the lives and shows the daily images of migrant teachers and outlines the logic of actions and survival strategies behind the mobility of teachers. The study finds that although migrant teachers can leap into cities, they present multiple marginal situations in their career, organizational life and daily life. Hometowns that cannot be returned to and cities that are difficult to integrate into have jointly shaped their lives as strangers.

摘要:The subjective meaning of education reform to teachers, is the consensus reached by the objective meaning of reform and the teachers’ individual meaning world. The premise of this consensus are the sharing of reform information and the mutual recognition and support of values and cultures. The subjective meaning of education reform to teachers determines the specific actions of teachers in the reform. However, due to neglect at the reform decision-making level, wrong guidance at the school level and misunderstanding from the teachers, subjective meaning of teachers as individuals are lost in the education reform. We should enhance the sharing of reform information and meaning among the different levels of decision makers, schools and teachers; respect teachers’ principal position and existing experience, improve teachers’ participation in various aspects of reform; develop teachers’ professional learning community and build a supportive culture based on cooperation; let teachers face the education reform with a positive mentality and an open attitude, and face the demand of their true self and improve their own meaning to promote the construction of teachers’ subjective meaning and ensure the smooth implementation of education reforms.
