“In the late Western Han Dynasty, Yang Xiong put forward the view of "if words are superior to events, then fu" in his book "Fa Yan · Wu Zi", focusing on the issues of "carrying events" and "carrying words" in Han fu and revealing its rhetorical characteristics. Examining the events and words in Han Fu, summarizing them into two types of writing methods: themes and modes, presenting the writing significance and internal logical connection between "events" and "words". Exploring its causes, it is related to the Han Dynasty imperial court's system of presenting poems. Fu family members used the methods of "selecting words" and "selecting meanings" from the classics and history, while Chen Wang's methods of using poems to describe Wang's affairs were in line with Fu family's status as a "ceremonial official". Since the Eastern Han Dynasty, the study of chapter and verse has flourished and the development of Li language has shifted its focus to the technique of Fu style syntax, neglecting the use of language and the overall coherence of Han Fu, and losing the historical value of Han people's use of Fu.”
