Abstract

Taking Shandong Province as an example

the dissertation optimizes the indicator system with factor analysis and principal component analysis

and uses Analytic Hierarchy Process（AHP）combined with powerful computer software MATLAB and passes the strict consistency test based on the matrix theory to determine the weight of optimized indicator system. In addition

it has done indexes calculation to the 17 prefecture-level cities in Shandong Province

focusing on analysis of the differences of urbanization development of representative cities in eastern

central and western regions.
