摘要

学科意义上的社会学虽为输自欧美的舶来品，但从晚清民国时期开始，在如何消解西方社会学、读懂中国社会的问题上，包括费孝通在内的多位社会学家大力提倡社会学本土化。费孝通从“差序格局”、宗教、皇权与绅权等方面对中国传统社会结构做出富有新意的解读。他关于“小城镇”的研究，开辟出一条有别于欧美城市化进程的独特的道路。每一门学科都有自己大师级学者的谱系，这一谱系对于任何一位后来的研究者来说都是一笔无价的宝贵财富。通过对费老“发现中国”之旅的考察，我们从中可以寻找并深刻地体悟到“社会研究”独有的魅力。

Abstract

Sociology as subject is imported goods. However

in the Late Qing Dynasty and the Early Republic of China

many sociologists including Fei Xiaotong advocated sociology indigenization to understand western sociology and solve China’s social problems. Fei Xiaotong explained traditional Chinese social structure from differential pattern

imperial power and gentle power. His research on small town carved out special way about urbanization different with European and American countries.
