There are some divergences in the current research on public life satisfaction in China. Based on the 2015 Chinese Social Survey (CSS)
this paper probes into the public life satisfaction and its influencing factors. When the life satisfaction was assigned from 1 to 10
it was found that the average value of public life satisfaction was 6.42
which was in the basic recognition level. based on the theory of post-materialism
the paper found the life satisfaction of the young group is the highest
the elderly group is the second
and the middle-aged group is the lowest; In the socioeconomic index (SEI)
the higher the SEI
the higher the life satisfaction. At the same time
that post-materialistic values and income have a significant impact
and the performance is the most prominent in the youth group and the middle SEI group. Thus
showing the uniqueness of Chinese public life satisfaction in the transitional period. Research shows that the continuous improvement of people’s livelihood and material living conditions to enhance the importance of public life satisfaction; then the role of post-materialistic values in the satisfaction of public life
also need to make a good response to the relevant reserve policies in advance.
