to strengthen the CPC history faculty team building in Chinese higher education institutions is of great practical significance to serve the strategic needs of the CPC’s governance
promote the innovation and development in philosophy and social sciences with Chinese characteristics
and cultivate high-quality talents responsible for China’s rejuvenation. In the past 100 years
with the establishment of courses on CPC history and the development of the discipline of CPC history
team building for CPC history faculty in higher education institutions has gone through the beginning stage and later development and innovation
making remarkable achievements and accumulating valuable experience. At present
outstanding issues are serious shrinkage
unreasonable structure
low stability and insufficient support of the faculty team. These are closely related to discipline orientation
curriculum setting
teaching and research institution setting
and personnel shortage. Building the first-tier discipline of CPC History and CPC Construction
restoring the status of CPC history courses as public ideological courses
optimizing the system and mechanism of faculty team development
and improving the faculty training and recruitment system are approaches to strengthening CPC history faculty team building in Chinese higher education institutions in the future.
