Scholars in the Song Dynasty often used "people of the Jin and Song dynasties" as a comment on each other's works of poetry and essay or moral character. Acceptance of the aesthetic ideal, the "people of the Jin and Song dynasties", by the Song people gone through two stages: first, the creation of poetry, essay and calligraphy, then, life attitude. Jiang Kui is considered to be a typical example of "people of the Jin and Song dynasties" in the Song Dynasty. However, Jiang Kui is different from the real scholars in the Jin and Song dynasties.
