On Aesthetic Relevance of Form Exploration and Image-shaping in Mo Yan’s Novels: Centered with Female Image-shaping in Mo Yan’s Novels
there are outstanding female characters with strong personality. Corresponded with Mo Yan’s narrative style which is binary opposition and multiplex symbiosis of deconstruction and construction to history and obvious criticism and metaphorical satire to reality
these female characters are unique in literature history. They are suppressed "second sex" in defective system
national conflict
class oppression
unhealthy culture or gender discrimination context. They are in different social environment with various identities and status. They are victims of some kind of epoch tragedy
defective system
or emotional strain. They suffer from tragic destiny. However
in the the progress of novel narration
these female characters are undergoing surprising spiritual awakening and behavioral revolution. They are motivated by yearn for life
pursuing to subject value of life and pure desire to love as human beings
or material temptation or emotional responsibility
and realize spiritual awakening passively. They fight for self-liberation. Firm and persistent
rebellious and free
untrammelled and cheerful
they have different destiny and conclusion. All in all
they reflect Mo Yan’s try to interpret history
describe spirit of the time
criticize social ills and express humanistic care through female characters. Meanwhile
this narration try also provide new
life-like female characters with distinct personality for modern literature.
