伴随20世纪初中国转型,传统的“市井幸福”从人生观念到生活现实经过了曲折历史变迁。传统民间社会的幸福观是通过“福禄寿”这一文化象征体系来表达的,福禄寿分别代表子孙满堂、飞黄腾达和长命百岁。故幸福乃关乎人之运势,与其说是积极追求的目标还不如说是虔诚祈求的对象。精英阶层却对民间的这种“幸福热”嗤之以鼻,他们自身倾向于一种更具超越色彩的对道与德的追求以及更高雅的人生乐趣。
在“五四”青年眼里,传统社会次序是建立在压迫的基础上的,其对幸福的追求也以女性、青年、和庶民这三个群体的牺牲和痛苦为代价。启蒙也就意味着赋予每个人追求幸福的权利,把人们从礼教中解放出来,从而可以主宰自己的生活,拥有婚姻恋爱的自由。但是这个创建伊始的国家所面临的主权危机很快使个人的幸福追求显得可疑和徒劳。中国共产党所创建的社会主义国家要求个人利益服从于国家利益 。在改革开放时代,伴随着“美国梦”和商品资本主义的全球化扩张,充满五四色彩的“市井幸福”也在中国卷土重来。
为了具体阐述此漫长曲折的市井幸福史,本文将分析一系列文学文本:沈复的《浮生六记》(1809),鲁迅的《狂人日记》(1918)、《祝福》(1924)和《在酒楼上》(1924),柔石的《为奴隶的母亲》(1930),丁玲的《一九三零年春上海》(1930),苏青的《结婚十年》(1943),张爱玲的《倾城之恋》(1944),以及陈冠中的《盛世》(2011)。除了梳理文学史和思想史以外,本文还会对在理论层面探讨欧洲启蒙运动时期个体的崛起和对日常生活的积极认可,以及情感在自由主义的民主社会中所占据的中心位置。
With the transformation of China since early 20th century
traditional vernacular happiness changed a lot from life concept to reality. In traditional China
the idea of happiness hinged primarily on siring male heirs (fu) and secondarily on prosperity (lu) and good health (shou). Therefore
happiness is about human life. Happiness is devout pray rather than pursuit aim. The elite sniff at plebeian happiness pursuit. They prefer to pursuit for morality and more elegant pleasures of life.
In the eyes of youngers in the May 4th Movement
traditional social order was based on oppression
and its pursuit to happiness taking the price of the sacrifice and suffering of women
youngers and plebeian. Enlightenment means that every one has the right to pursue happiness which liberates people from feudal ethical code to master his own life and have love and marriage freedom. However
sovereignty challenge in the early foundation of this country made individual happiness pursuit suspicious and unavailing. Socialist country established by the Communist Party of China requires individual interests subordinating to national interests. Since reform and open
with the global expand of American dream and capitalism
vernacular happiness with May 4th Movement rises again. The government also raises up Chinese Dream to dominate ideology.

this paper also discusses on individual rise and positive appreciation to everyday life during European Enlightenment period from theoretical perspective and the central position of emotion in democratic society advertised liberalism.
