Characteristics and Inspiration of Holistic Curriculum
The holistic education ideology aims at the comprehensive development of human beings and advocates "experience" as the core content
trying to construct a holistic curriculum to promote the connection. Compared with traditional curriculum based on knowledge forms
holistic curriculum shows four distinct characteristics: the promotion of the connection between students’ experience expresses the fundamental aim of holistic curriculum; dynamic generation reflects its internal attribute; overall "transition" shows its values and the principle of life embodies its goal orientation. The Enlightenment of the characteristics of the whole curriculum to the current curriculum reform in our country lies as follows: We need to clarify the relationship between curriculum reform and the "core competence" ; to enhance the students’ education and life experience; to realize the educational function of curriculum evaluation; to emphasize more on the construction and value of local curriculum culture.
