Supervision is the basis for the realization of responsible government and an indispensable part of the aged care service system. It is not only an effective tool to implement government responsibility

improve management and improve efficiency

but also an important way and method for the elderly to gain their interests and participate in the aged care service

which is directly related to the realization of the goal of the aged care service. However

influenced by different stakeholders

in the supervision practice of government purchasing aged care services

there are some problems

such as insufficient supply of legislative supervision

inertia of administrative supervision and lack of channels of social supervision

which are manifested in the lack of systematic laws and regulations

weak operability

confusion of supervision institutions

imperfect supervision mechanism

and lack of scientific evaluation and supervision results. The article puts forward suggestions to rectify the failure of supervision from four aspects: strengthening legislative supervision

improving government administrative supervision

perfecting the matching mechanism of evaluation and supervision

and strengthening social supervision.
