Expenditure Resistance In Media Space: Teahouse Culture Research Based on Everyday Resistance Theory
This paper takes teahouse culture in the period of the Republic of China as research object
starts from cultural studies of history to discuss everyday resistance from everyday resistance repertoire
relationship between behaviors
spatialization and time. Through literature arrangement and theoretical interpretation
this paper concludes that everyday resistance in teahouse in the period of the Republic of China is hidden daily practice of underclasses to rebel double oppression from the country and elite classes through teahouse
the media space. Underclasses struggled to protect popular culture and autonomy of civil life order through expending time in teahouse.
