In the present circles of literary criticism in China exist two maladies

overflourishing and short living in introducing western literary theories to China.The reason is

as the article pointed out

the lack of dialectical thinking and rational critical spirit in literary criticism.It is

therefore

urgent to establish a dialectical mode and method of thinking

among which two important aspects are dialectical thinking and national cultural foundation.
